Two useful Linksys RE7000 WiFi Extender Setup Methods
There are two simple ways to set up a Linksys RE7000 extender. A wireless protected setup (WPS) button or manual setup are also options for configuring your Linksys extender. WPS METHOD
For the Linksys RE7000 setup, WPS, or wireless protected setup, is the best option. There is no effort required. All you have to do is press a little button, and the job is done.
- Carefully unpack your Linksys AC1900 RE7000 extender.
- Place your WiFi range extender in close proximity to your wireless router at home. During the Linksys range extender configuration, make sure the distance between both devices isn’t more than 1-3 feet.
- Connect your Linksys RE7000 to an electrical outlet and power it up.
- Allow the Linksys extender to power up for a few minutes. The colour of the power LED changes from orange to green.
- Turn on your WiFi router at home.
- Locate and push the WPS button on the WiFi RE7000 extender.
- Wait a few minutes till the WPS LED goes solid green once more.
- Remove the WiFi extension from its current location and relocate it.
- Turn it on by plugging it back into an electrical socket.

- Place your WiFi range extender in close proximity to your wireless router at home. During the Linksys range extender configuration, make sure the distance between both devices isn’t more than 1-3 feet.
- Use an Ethernet wire to connect your Linksys extender to your router.
- Finally, connect your Linksys RE7000 to a power outlet and turn it on.
- Allow the Linksys extender to power up for a few minutes. The colour of the power LED changes from orange to green.
- Then, turn on your computer and WiFi router at home.
- Open one of your favourite web browsers.
- Go to the Linksys extender configuration page.
- So you’ve arrived at the login screen for the Linksys RE7000 router.
- Fill in the default login credentials for the WiFi extender.
- Select ‘Login’ or ‘Sign In’ from the drop-down menu.
- The Linksys RE7000 admin panel interface is accessed using the web browser.
